Coro Medical Wins Contract with Nashville International Airport to Place ZOLL AEDs

With millions of visitors every year traveling through BNA, big things are happening with the entire airport. 2019 brought Nashville’s first trans-Atlantic flight, direct to London. Several major, international companies are moving their headquarters and regional offices to Nashville (in addition to tens of thousands of new residents every year). Amazon, Lyft, Mitsubishi and Nissan are just a few.

The Nashville Metropolitan Airport Authority is currently under construction of a brand new International Terminal, rental car facility and parking garages. Our sleepy, little airport is not so little anymore. In addition to new restaurants, shops and bars playing country music, BNA has also just upgraded it’s fleet of AEDs (automated external defibrillators) for the first time in over 15 years.

Several factors went in to selecting the ZOLL AED Plus to replace the Philips Onsite AEDs in all facilities at BNA. Coro’s EMS expert-salesperson, Phillip Woods, was instrumental in developing the opportunity with the INCREDIBLE team of law enforcement and responders at BNA. These folks respond to more emergencies than most people know about, and they do it in a prompt and professional manner (one of our meetings was cut short due to a passenger having a seizure). Coro also benefited from being able to provide same-day, local support. We utilized Ryan Rose (formerly of Cardiac Science Corporation) and his experience with the Atlanta-Hartsfield Airport (another sleepy, little airport in GA) transition, as well as our ZOLL Sales Team to provide BNA with a exceptional solution and a great product.

We hope to see you in Nashville soon! If you notice the ZOLL AED Plus in the terminal, snap a picture and tag us on Facebook and Instagram!

“I know that every day I come to work, I am playing a part in saving someone’s life. I am passionate about these devices and am always looking for new and innovative ways to spread awareness and knowledge about Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). I look forward to the day when everywhere I go, I will see an AED—when SCA will no longer take any lives.”
