February: American Heart Month

February is designated to increase awareness about heart health and urge those around you to take healthy steps towards preventing heart disease.  This month is the perfect time to learn more and get involved in your community.

Did you know every year, 1 in 4 deaths are caused by heart disease? Even more shocking, heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women, killing more women than all forms of cancer combined. Friday, February 7th, is National Wear Red Day. Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association’s national movement to raise awareness for women’s heart health. To show your support, join the movement and follow these simple steps!
