The HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P is a state-of-the-art automated external defibrillator (AED) designed to save lives during sudden cardiac arrest emergencies.

This user-friendly device combines cutting-edge technology with simplicity, making it an ideal choice for both trained professionals and first-time responders in various settings, from offices to sports facilities.

Favorite Feature: One-Change Pad-Pak

The HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P's standout feature is its innovative Pad-Pak, a combined battery and electrode system. This unique design sets it apart from other AEDs on the market by simplifying maintenance and reducing the risk of expired components.

With the Pad-Pak, users only need to replace a single cartridge every four years, instead of managing separate batteries and electrode pads. This not only streamlines the maintenance process but also ensures that all critical components are always in sync and ready for use. The Pad-Pak's long shelf life and easy replacement process make the HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P one of the most cost-effective and low-maintenance AEDs available.

Clear and Intuitive Interface

The HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P features a user-friendly interface that guides rescuers through the resuscitation process with confidence. Its clear voice prompts and visual indicators provide step-by-step instructions, ensuring that even untrained users can operate the device effectively in high-stress situations.

The device's simple two-button operation – one to power on and another to deliver a shock – minimizes confusion and allows for quick action. The intuitive design helps overcome hesitation and empowers bystanders to act swiftly, potentially making the difference between life and death.

Portability and Durability

Weighing just 2.4 lbs (1.1 kg), the HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P is one of the lightest AEDs on the market. Its compact size makes it easy to transport and store, ensuring it's always within reach when needed. Despite its lightweight design, the device doesn't compromise on durability.

Built to withstand challenging environments, the HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P boasts an IP56 rating for protection against dust and water. This rugged construction allows the device to perform reliably in various settings, from bustling offices to outdoor sporting events, giving users peace of mind in any situation.

Pediatric Capability

The HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P stands out with its Pediatric-Pak, a specialized electrode and energy reduction system for use on children. This unique feature allows the device to be safely used on pediatric patients without the need for separate pediatric electrodes or a key.

By simply switching out the adult Pad-Pak for the Pediatric-Pak, the device automatically adjusts its energy output and CPR instructions to suit children. This versatility makes the HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P an excellent choice for environments where both adults and children may require emergency care.

Over-The-Counter Accessibility

The HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P is available over-the-counter to use on adults and children (1 year+) without the need for a doctor’s prescription.

How to set up your new HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P for service:

1. Unpack the device and check all components are present.

2. Register your HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P with the manufacturer.

3. Read the user manual thoroughly to familiarize yourself with the device.

4. Install the Pad-Pak by sliding it into the compartment until you hear a "click."

5. Power on the device to run an initial self-test.

6. Ensure the status indicator is flashing green, indicating the device is ready for use.

7. Choose a visible and accessible location to store the AED.

8. Install the wall bracket or cabinet if provided.

9. Place the HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P in its designated location.

10. Inform all potential users about the AED's location and provide basic training if possible.

How often should I replace the Pad-Pak?
The Pad-Pak should be replaced every four years or after each use, whichever comes first. This ensures that both the battery and electrodes are always within their operational lifespan. The device will emit a warning when the Pad-Pak is nearing expiration, giving you ample time to order a replacement.

Can the HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P be used on children?
Yes, the device can be used on children with the specialized Pediatric-Pak. This unique cartridge adjusts the energy output and CPR instructions for pediatric patients. Simply replace the standard Pad-Pak with the Pediatric-Pak when treating a child under 8 years old or weighing less than 55 lbs (25 kg).

How do I know if the device is ready for use?
The HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P performs automatic self-tests daily, weekly, and monthly. A green flashing light on the status indicator shows that the device has passed its self-tests and is ready for use. If the indicator shows red or is not flashing, consult the user manual for troubleshooting steps.

What kind of maintenance does the HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P require?
The device requires minimal maintenance. Regularly check that the status indicator is flashing green and keep the exterior clean. Replace the Pad-Pak before its expiration date or after each use. No regular calibration or testing is required, as the device performs automatic self-tests.

Is training required to use the HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P?
While training is beneficial, the HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P is designed to be used by both trained and untrained responders. The device provides clear voice and visual prompts to guide users through the resuscitation process. However, we recommend familiarizing yourself with the device and taking a CPR/AED course to build confidence in emergency situations.

Maintenance and Management for your HeartSine® Samaritan PAD 350P/360P AED

All AEDs require regular maintenance and management to ensure that the AED will perform during a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). The electrodes and batteries must be tracked for expiration dates and replacement. Because of the PAD technology in the Samaritan PAD devices, there is just one expiration date to track (four years for the Pad-Pak™).

Your organization should have one person in charge of this critical task and be able to access records demonstrating maintenance and oversight. With our AED365 AED Program Management, you can rest assured that your AED will always be ready for rescue.

Don't hesitate to get in touch with us for any questions. At AED.us, we pride ourselves on our knowledge and customer service and are ready to partner with you in a successful AED program.
